Chef Jennifer Caraway

Founder & Chef of the Joy Bus

Most of us know someone who has lost their battle with Cancer and we will always remember them. Jennifer's friend was Joy. Using her gift of preparing food and her positive attitude, Jennifer fed, nourished and showered Joy with love in the midst of her battles. After wiping away tears and smiling at memories of her times with Joy, Jennifer started learning about non-profits and ways in which she could help individuals fighting Cancer. In memory of her friend she created the Joy Bus. The Joy Bus is a Not for Profit organization whose sole purpose is to relieve the daily struggles of homebound cancer patients with a fresh Chef Inspired meal and a friendly face. What she created in memory of her friend Joy, now exists to help our friends. As an accomplished restaurateur she has developed a collaborative mission bringing together local chefs, community organizers, farmers and health care professionals. “Our goal in providing this service is to allow the family to focus on what is important, THE FAMILY." Jennifer does all this while being a full time single working and soccer mom with 2 teenagers. A fellow musician to her kids, softball player in a city league, The New Times "Best of Phoenix 2013, Best Food for a Good Cause” and most recently awarded with 99.9 KEZ’s Woman of the Year nomination.
